One of the technologies our company offers is a modern robotic grinding center. The use of automation in casting grinding has an undeniable advantage in terms of speed and grinding quality—especially when processing larger series of castings and needing to achieve perfect and uniform results.
How does it work?
If the nature of the casting allows for robotic grinding, it is first necessary to obtain a special clamp that will grip individual pieces from the container. The programmed robotic arm then places the castings on the grinding belt and, after grinding, places them on a conveyor belt. Using a second robot, we can supplement the grinding operation with other machining operations, such as thread cutting, hole drilling, milling, etc.
Each casting is then inspected by an experienced worker to ensure the highest possible quality. If necessary, small areas that the robot cannot grind (such as internal holes) are hand-finished.
Robotic grinding services are available as part of our complex manufacturing offering, but also as a standalone service.
